Looking forward to seeing new and regular guests back to enjoy the peace and quite of our lovely barns. At the start of the year we closed for our usual refurbishment and painting. As always the barns have been repainted and lighting upgraded to meet latest standards. Both barns have Smart TVs downstairs and upstairs and they each have their own WiFi so accessing the internet is pretty good for a very small out in the countryside village. This year mattresses have been replaced with Sealy Windermere ones which I understand grace the beds in the Savoy in London. Hope they meet the expectations of the guests.
The businesses are all fully open but it is really busy so booking is advised especially for eating out venues. The Sycamore Inn, Parwich is only 10mins walk away and the food is excellent.
The barns are getting booked up very quickly so make sure you get your booking in.
The countryside around here as as beautiful as ever, walking and cycling at its best.
Below is a great picture of a temperature inversion taken on Kinder Scout.
Thanks to Richard Tower and Rachel Bolton www.peakwalking.com for sharing the picture.

The weather is a bit mixed but we are still getting sunny days. A perfect time of year to come and stay for a few days and have a walk in the lovely countryside, take a bike ride, visit one of the many attractions that all stay open or just relax in Tom or Douglas […]
