About us

View our policies hereWe moved into Orchard Farm in January 2015 and are approaching the end of our second year here welcoming great guests to the barns. I was born in Derbyshire, Robert a little further south, and had been looking for some time for a house in the beautiful Peak District. We were delighted when the opportunity to buy Orchard Farm came up and feel privileged to be living in such a beautiful part of England. We are both keen on walking and most Sunday’s we will be taking in the delights of the countryside around Derbyshire and Staffordshire. I am Chair of the Derby and South Derbyshire Ramblers and very keen to promote walking for all ages and abilities. When you come to stay with us there will always be organised walks for you to undertake if you wanted to or information to wander yourselves. Just one of the activities that is on offer in the Peak District.

We continue to operate the much loved holiday accommodation that John and Marion created in the way that it has always been. One of the things we most love is meeting people who want to come and share a bit of pleasure we are providing in the quiet and beautiful peak district.

On September 16th 2016 we married in Parwich Church. Following the ceremony we celebrated at Tissington Hall with all our family and friends. We are now settling into married life, Robert is getting used to having a ready made family of 2 children and 3 grandchildren. They all love our new lifestyle and think it is great to come and share the house and village life.

We have 2 Hungarian Wire Haired Vizsla dogs Izzy aged 4 and Barni aged 1 who are mum and son. We welcome guests with dogs but equally we are keen to make sure that guests without dogs are not bothered by both our dogs and those belonging to other guests. Orchard Farm is fully fenced with entrance gates that are kept closed.
