Son Nick has sent us this enticing picture. He is in Tobago on, I must grudgingly admit, a well-deserved holiday, staying with a friend whose mother lives there, and whose pool this is… Meanwhile, Nick’s mother is sitting at the computer in an outdoor fleece (we’re getting a bit careful with our oil consumption these days, as you may gather) trying to feel pleased for him and not green with envy.
Our logburner downstairs is going merrily however, so it is perhaps about time to nip downstairs, shed the fleece and accept a glass of cool white wine. One can always pretend!
Meanwhile, his next stop is Surinam so all being well we may have some more interesting photos to share with you via his mobile. (Before you ask, I don’t know but will endeavour to find out). And if anyone does know anything about Surinam it would be good to find out.
Douglas’s Barn is available to book for short breaks 3 or 4 nights between 2 and 20 May 2016. Bookings usually start on a Monday or a Friday but if you want a break that starts on a different day get in touch. We are very flexible with bookings.
There are some new attractions added to the list of treats available with the Premier Cottages special privileges card. Amongst them are Renishaw Hall, Thornbridge Hall Gardens (new discounts), Hassop Station Cafe, Village Green Cafe Eyam, Carsington Water Sports and Leisure, Hartington Cheese Shop.
There are still a few free dates at the end of March/April in both Tom’s and Douglas’s Barns. Short breaks, 3 or 4 nights, which are not normally available are on offer. Please look at availability and give me a call or book on line.
