Douglas’s Barn available to book for a short break August Bank Holiday. See make a booking for all availability
Its has been a very romantic weekend in Douglas’s Barn. I decorated the barn at one of the guests request setting the scene for a surprise marriage proposal which was a definite YES!. So nice to see two very happy people and to have shared their happiness. Wishing them all the best for the future.
Short breaks are available between 10 August and the 28 August 2015 in Douglas’s Barn. These breaks are not usually available at this time of year so a great opportunity to come and have a taster of the barn and the lovely village of Parwich and the surrounding countryside.
It’s Parwich Wakes, www.parwich.org week 27 June to 3 July and Douglas’s Barn is available for a short break. It’s also Ashbourne Festival, www.ashbournefestival.org and lots of well dressings throughout the next few weeks. Why not come and join the fun
Good news, you can start planning for those special breaks away in 2016. The calendar has been updated with the 2016 dates and even more good news is that the prices are going to remain the same for next year. For those that prefer Douglas’s Barn, or those that are yet to experience a stay there, it is being offered at a slightly less price for most weeks. The same discount of approximately 5% is still being given for returning guests. Terms and conditions remain the same. Looking forward as ever to meeting all our guests.
There is still an opportunity for a short break, not usually available at this time of year, in Douglas’s Barn between 19 June and the 3 July 2015. Friday to Monday or Monday to Friday available for £455 or you could treat yourself to a weeks break in this tranquil spot in the peak district for £695.
Following re assessment we are delighted that Tom’s and Douglas’s Barns have been awarded a rating of Five Stars by Visit England.I addition they have both achieved a Gold Award for exceptional quality of accommodation and customer service. This is a real boost for us and confirms that the quality standards that Marion and John worked so hard to achieve are being maintained.

The internet was re connected yesterday so I am happy to report that we are back on line here in this lovely Peak District village. A big thank you to all our lovely guests that have been very understanding about the lack of internet. To make it even better the weather has been lovely here today, all the spring flowers are out, the lambs bleating in the fields, longer days and a little bit of warmth coming through. Still some availability in Douglas’s Barn for the rest of April. Why not treat yourself to a few days away in this idyllic spot. Happy Easter to all our guests past and present and too all those hoping to join us in the future.
